Hey, Do you wanna know how I usually figure out whether a website is using WordPress..?
Well, its pretty easy I just check for their /wp-admin/ page. And there you can see it clearly “WordPress” logo stating it all.
Most of us ignore to do any customizing to the WordPress login screen as we believe that its the page that only we will be viewing. However that’s not true all the time. Especially if you allow guest posting in your blog ( which almost everyone is doing these days ) at some point your guest blogger will be viewing your wordpress login page. So don’t you that think it would be better if you could show up your brand logo there..? After all whether its a company or a person blogging, your brand is your identity. It gives a more professional touch to your website.
Anyhow I had recently started doing this kind of customization in all my sites and also developed a simple plugin, My WordPress Login Logo for doing it the easy way. My WordPress Login Logo is a plugin which lets you to add a custom logo in your wordpress login page instead of the usual wordpress logo. It also allow you to edit the logo size and change the link the image is having (by default it points to wordpress.com).
So here is how you do it.
- Get the My WordPress Login Logo from the WordPress Plugins (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/my-wp-login-logo/) and install it.
- Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
- Upload your desired logo using the WordPress media uploader.
- Copy the uploaded image’s File URL path and input it in the Logo URL field.
That’s it! You can now logout and check your yousite.com/wp-admin/ page to see the changes. The plugin also allows you to specify your logo size and link.
By the way this is my first plugin contribution to wordpress plugins directory. So share and rate it well, hehe 😉

Let me know about your feedback on the plugin.
Yeah. So exactly where am I to paste the link? And how many times? screenshots? Thanks!
You can have look into the FAQ (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/my-wp-login-logo/faq/) and screenshots (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/my-wp-login-logo/screenshots/) to get know how to do it. Its pretty simple 😛
Hi – thank you for the plugin.
1) is there no way to format the text section in HTML?
2) apostrophes (as used in italian and french) generate the backslash character, which is an eyesore. Is there any way to fix this?
3) logo size – can I modify / bypass the 320×70 size?
Thank you
Paul
Hi Mr. Rahim,
Thank You for this plugin. I’m using this plugin on ALL my client login pages. I have a problem and don’t know if it is a conflict issue or a bug. When you click on the settings link on the dashboard to add the custom logo, there is a “Logo Link” option. When I try to add my own link, it reverts back to the website URL (for the account I’m logged into) when I save my settings. Is there any way you can check this out?
Thank You.
I am not certain where you’re getting your info, but good topic. I needs to spend a while studying more or working out more. Thank you for fantastic info I was searching for this info for my mission.
I set-up the pligin, but the logo when clicked sends the user to the wordpress website instead of the ghana auto club.
Thanks for your work on the plugin. As I’m sure you know, there are several alternatives available. Some of them are not very consistent and seem to not have been constructed with an eye on detail. Yours seems very stable and reliable, and the fade in is pretty neat, too. I’d like to use it on all the sites I manage – but there’s one thing: You don’t provide a way to change the background color. Not always important, this can be critical on black or really colorful websites. Without being able to change the background color it can be difficult to maintain the look and feel of the website since all other aspects of the website are missing from the login page. Anyway, just some food for thought.
Regards.
